Strictly enforce picklist values

Picklist allows values which is not even defined in it. Because of this users can introduce extraneous values by loading values through the API which causes lot of data problems.

So from Summer'16 release a made the feature available for all the editio  "Strictly enforce picklist values" option is given while configuring the picklist.

• Select the "Strictly enforce picklist values" checbkox.
• This won't allow any other values that can be loaded through the API  than the ones already mentioned.

Note: Only a new custom picklist field can be a restricted picklist. You can’t convert an existing non-restricted picklist to a restricted picklist.
