Submit for Approval using process builder

Here in this post we are going to see how to submit for approval using process builder when a field is updated.

Step 1: Create a Check box field Send to Approver in Opportunity object
Step 2: Create a approval process "Submit Opportunity" with entry criteria as Opportunity: Send to Approver EQUALS True

Step 3: Now create a process builder and the condition as given in the below screen shot

Step 4: Now select the immediate action as "Submit for Approval" and make sure you select the Approval process you created above in the step 2

Now we are ready to go and now edit an opportunity record and make the "Send to Approver" field as checked and the Approval Process will get fired automatically

Note: Make sure your approval process and process builder are active
