Rollup Helper - AppExchange

Rollup Helper – This app helps to create rollup summary fields with the related object without respective of their relationship.

Below is few use case of rollup helper:

·         Count the number of tasks in an open case

·         Count the number of contacts associated to the account

Install the rollup helper app from AppExchange

Following functions can be performed with rollup helper

• Sum
• Maximum
• Minimum
• Average
• Count

Now we are going to see how to get the number of contacts associated to the account

Click Create a New Rollup button

Select the target rollup summary field(field which should show the rollup value)

Select the relationship field. To get the number of contacts associated, select the child object as Contact and also select based on which field to roll up and what type of function. Here I selected Source as Owner Id and count as the function.

Check the field "No of Contacts" and it rolled up using rollup helper.

It is possible to schedule the rollup helper so that it keeps running in the background and updates the rollup field.
